My plan is to vacuum living rooms across the country from San Francisco to New York. I realize the challenge of such a task. I am attempting to break boundaries of personal space, or see what will happen if attempted. Why as human beings are we so attached to belongings, personal territory? Is coveting over personal possessions a human condition or a cultural conditioning? I will investigate whether or not the issue will change from coast to coast.

This piece deals with Women's domestic issues. The vacuum cleaner is a symbol of Women's oppression in the domestic realm. My intention is to investigate the relationship of women and vacuum cleaners.
