Recipients: Ralph, Barbara, Raina & Ravon Edwards

With a beautiful blue sky looming above we surprizingly came across the town of Wheeling, a lovely historic town sitting on the Ohio River. We drove through the town and crossed the oldest suspension bridge in the US to an Island sitting in between West Virginia and Ohio. The lawns were like all the rest we have come across, small green sanctuaries perfectly groomed. We were finding that as we moved closer to the east Coast it was becoming more challenging to find participants.

After almost giving up, we came across a family sitting on their front stoop enjoying the afternoon. They agreed to participate and Ralph commented that he could tell right away we were good people and didn't know why anyone would turn us away. Although the lawn was somewhat done, they were flexible enough to allow us to go ahead and Suck and mow anyway. Suck did the living room and playroom and afterwards Mow enthusiastically trimmed the back and front yard.
The Edwards were extremely generous, even going so far to offer us drinks. They were open people, the example of what we were hoping to meet when envisioning our adventure months ago. They sent us a nice email the very next day (it's posted on the email response section of the site). The Edwards were an inspiration to lessons of humanity and to further persevere and finish our Suck and Mow journey.
