No Recipients today; a day of grieving

The day before everything was moving along nicely, route 66, lovely Rhoda in Seligman, and the spectacular display of Mother Nature. We arrived in Flagstaff Arizona, aquired a room for the night to get some technical work done on the site. We had no idea what we were going to awake to.... The next morning the phone rings, it was Mow's Mother extremly distressed trying to explain what had happened. Terrorists had attacked New York City and Washington DC.. We turned on the television to see the reality. It looked like something out of a movie, except it was real, too real. Well, we all know the rest of the story. And everyone will never forget where they were, what they were doing when they recieved the news. We felt frozen, so sad and angry at the same time.

Next was the dilema, do we go on or do we turn around and go home? Our project seemed to have no meaning at this point. We decided to head to the Grandcanyon, we were 80 miles south. It seemed like the right thing to do on this crazy day, spend the day at a spectacular sight that mother nature has brought to us...go back to the basics, the earth, spend time thinking and reflecting on life. After seeing the canyon we decided it was important that we go on, finish what we have started. We saw the importance in what we are doing, trying to insill faith in human beings and the American Spirit.
