From : Dusty Love Subject : go suck and mow Date : Sun, 09 Sep 2001 13:34:57 GMT+1 Dear Suck and Mow, It was with great excitement that I logged in this morning hoping for some action from the dream team. I guess I should be sucking my own home and caring for my window sill plants, but remain totally unenthousiastic at that idea. Wishing you all the best for the greatest roadmovie in domestic history. Go, go, go. Lots of love, Katja from Paris, also known as dusty.

From : Robert Cook Subject : suck and mow Date : Mon, 10 Sep 2001 11:32:20 +0100 Kathryn, looks really interesting. I should imagine that my flat in London could prove a step too far on your journey. Probably not that worth your while either as have no lawn and very few carpets, but you are very welcome nonetheless. Looks from the website that things are going pretty well and that you are busy. Things pretty busy for me at the moment, and as usual the vague plan to finally pay a visit to Burning Man seems to have been superseded by various friends weddings and other things. Still, seems like a very long time since I have been over Stateside, so really must remedy this soon. Good luck with your project - I shall keep an eye on it. with love Rob

From : patrick germon Subject : project suckandmow Date : Mon, 10 Sept 2001 11:42:07 -0700 Brian Schwary, What up? I ran into a friend the other day and he is driving out to NYC with his girlfrriend Kathryn Williams. You might remember Kathryn Williams from Boulder. Her boyfriend's name is Brian and you will all definately get along. They are both good people and I was hoping that you could help them out when they come out to NYC. They are both artists out here in SF and are working on a documentary called Project SuckandMow. They will be driving across country from SF to NYC and documenting their travels. Kathryn will be vacumming people's homes while Brian will be mowing their lawns and they'll both be documenting the whole thing. Sounds pretty awesome and they'll definately have some classic experiences in middle America. They are leaving sometime in September. I know that you are very active in the NYC art community so any help that you could offer would be great. Brian and Kathryn, please feel to email Brian or call his cell phone at 917-575-5750. Brian is a friend of mine, therefore he is a friend of yours! Hope everyone is doing well! Have fun and be safe on your travels! Talk to you all soon! Patrick Germon

Hope all is well as it is a beautiful day outside. Sorry I missed Chris's party. I got my days mixed up which is not unusual. Brian I owe you a steak dinner with the works. Behind my warehouse and we can shoot at passing cars with my slingshot. Nice Bio's and Statements you two. "Come see a fat old man sometime." Are you guys going to CCAC tomorrow for the neato show? It is supposed to be really good. My trip back was a nightmare and it is fortunate that Chitlin Santa did not have to see the debauchee. I am trying to find a job down at Fisherman's Warf. Chowder maker... ROCK out... You guys are funny...
From : "John Sappington" Subject : Bon Voyage ! Date : Mon, 10 Sep 2001 21:41:16 -0700 Sounds like a challenging and exciting adventure... best of luck - if you are looking for a living room try Stella, Missouri - Ask anyone in town for the Sappington's they'll show you the way... Re: women's issues - my Grandmother was the first female "ordained" Methodist Preacher in the State of Mo. - Or so she said. You can tour the abandoned house she lived in which should be fairly dilapidated but may have a number of carpets which could use some cleaning. May be fairly interesting photographically... A strange little town if you are in the market... they may also have some leads on other chicken farmers and hairdressers who could use your services... J. I got a new office in Seattle. It's Kurt Kobain's former recording studio and I think the place where those terrorists studied flying. It's in the basement, so it's fairly safe. Really though - whoa. From : Beceliz@aol.com Subject : Hi Date : Fri, 14 Sep 2001 16:14:19 EDT Dear Kathryn & Bryan, Your site looks great! I love the flag and the map it is really cute. Blackbird web site is almost set up so if you want to add the link to your site it is in its final stage of being finished for the show. I hope the opening in Brooklyn is fun. I will fly out tomorrow morning. I am excited to get the work there and the show up here. I have a feeling the show is going to be a big deal here in S.F. because of the curiosity of what has happened so it might be a good idea to link the blackbird site also goliath too to your suck and mow site... your images will be on either the site. There is a phone line in the space so I will just set up my mac for you and find the grass and carpet. www.blackbirdspace.com Peace & Love, Please be safe Always, Rebecca
From : Jennifer Rissler Subject: suckin' it Date : Sat, 15 Sep 2001 12:36:00 -0700 Kathryn, I'm sorry to have taken so long to give you this info., and I hope it's not too late....and I hope the recent events have not hampered your trip....it's too much to comprehend. i'll send this same info. to your other email address as well. I spoke with my grandma Mabel, and she is definately interested in having you come. She lives in a town called Ceresco, 13 miles north of lincoln, nebraska, which is not too far from iowa, just to give you geographical information. Her name is Mabel Swanson - ask anyone in town if you need to and they will know her (population 800 or so). Her address is 604 S. 4th Street, phone number is (402) 665-3271. From Interstate 80, take Highway 77 North from Lincoln. I believe the sign will say Highway 77 North toward Wahoo (home office of Dave letterman's Late Night)..anyway, do not go south toward Beatrice. Once your on 77 it's about 13 miles and you'll pass a town called Davy. You'll begin to see the water tower for Ceresco, and once you get near the town, look for a gas station on the left (West - they like to use direction in the midwest instead of left/right) when you see the gas station, turn left (west) this is the first street you can turn on. It's called Elm Street. You'll go on Elm 4 blocks - past the Ceresco bank and through the town's residential area. You'll come to a dead end at the end of 4 blocks, which is 4th Street. Turn left, go to the stopsign. Continue on Elm through the stopsign and this is her street - it's still 4th Street. After the stopsign, her house is the 5th on the right - it's 604 S. 4th Street and it's bright pistachio green! You can't miss it. You can park in the driveway and go to the door that's in the back of the house, off the driveway. (You'll see the corn field in the back of the house) She would like to know if you are planning to come - so please let me know either way. if by chance you are there tomorrow (Sunday - she goes to church/sunday school until 1:00 or so and she would still love to have you but she's informed me that she won't let you work on Sunday!) Anyway, let me know your plans - she's prone to worry.....and I also have 3 uncles in town who could be "clients" - and if you have any car problems, they are all in the Ford business - the SWANSON family dealership is the 4th oldest int the US -ask MAbel to show you the Model T in the garage - I drove it once and it was the first car my Great Grandfather Magnus sold - anyway, let me know your plans and take care... LOVE, jen
From : Tony Labat Subject : suckin Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 14:58:50 -0700 How's the "sucking" going? How are you guys doing out there...send info as to how is America out there on the road...if you find it...as I remember the poster for Easy Rider read "They went looking for America...and didn't find it..." I think it is the recent events that made me think about it...her's Mike info: Mike Osterhout 434-1918 (his area code has changed, I don't have it right now, it used to be 914, and the town is Glen Wild, check it out) I hope you can stop by...I'm sure he'd love to see you...I would... take care you...Tony
